Norcsalordie is more than just a band - it is a way of looking at Folk Music. Formed of musicians who are a good two decades younger than the majority of those performing folk music today, the band brings with it a different set of influences and a commitment to making the music accessible and entertaining not only to dyed in the wool folkies but to a younger generation for whom folk music might otherwise remain a mystery

For the last four years the band has built up its reputation as a duo but at the Riverside Festival and the Big Session in Leicester during June 2009 the line-up was boosted to a full five piece. The result was the same vibrant musical philosophy with a richer, rounder sound very much in touch with both folk roots and the music of the younger generation

Don't forget the new studio album - Post to Pillar - 11 original songs and one traditional, available by post or direct from the band
